TRYOUTSOur goal for all teams is to ensure continuity in learning for all participating players, coaches and parents. Tryouts for teams allow the players to showcase their talents in hitting, pitching, fielding (outfield and infield). Teams are then filled based on the outcome of the tryouts. Parents and players are contacted within two weeks of tryouts to notify them about whether or not they made a team and if so, which team they will be playing on. The information below gives a brief overview of the different teams and levels of play available through Slammers.

YOUTH SELECT
The Slammers Select Youth Program is one of the most competitive youth programs in the country. We have teams in every age group ranging from 8U to 14U. The players will go thru a tryout which is comprised of hitting, fielding, pitching and catching. Parents can expect to be called within the week letting them know of team availability and placement.

YOUTH AGES
Our Youth ages range from 8U – 14U. The following age groups are detrmined by the upcoming school year. Please tryout with your Grade and we will move you accordingly. Age to tryout is based on age the player turns before May 1st of 2026, unless Grade or Grad Year eligible for lower age level.
8U – 2nd Graders; Allowing skilled 1st and K graders (2036/2037 Grads)
9U – 3rd Graders (2035 Grads)
10U – 4th Graders (2034 Grads)
11U – 5th Graders (2033 Grads)
12U – 6th Graders (2032 Grads)
13U – 7th Graders (2031 Grads)
14U – 8th Graders (2030 Grads)
ATTENDANCE
*Players only need to attend one tryout Session*
Age determination for the 2026 Season is the players age prior to May 1st of 2026. We prefer players to play their grade over age level. If you are interested in playing in a different age group, please let the Slammers North Staff know and they will make a decision as they see fit.

HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER
Our Slammers High School summer teams are made up of the highest level baseball players in the state from Freshmen to Seniors. Our teams compete nationally at the top premier tournaments which showcases and exposes our players to college and pro scouts. We play in state at local tournaments as well as play doubleheaders with competitive programs in the state.
